Press Release Telequip develops a universal clamp Salem, New Hampshire - June 20, 2003 - Telequip Corporation announces the development of a universal clamp designed to improve and facilitate the installation of Transact2+ coin dispensers in a supermarket or grocery environment. “The wide range of check-out lane designs and options create real challenges for installing the coin dispenser. This clamp is a simple but elegant solution to most of those challenges” says William Lemieux , Director of Operations for Telequip. “As Telequip expands its sales into the multi-lane grocery environment it is increasingly important to provide a method for easy installation and service. With the use of this clamp Telequip can dramatically reduce installation time thereby saving our customers thousands of dollars in setup and service fees” The clamp is a stainless steel design with two half-inch carriage bolts that allow the dispenser to be installed without drilling holes or adapting the checkout lane. After the clamp is installed the, Transact2+ easily clips in place. Because the Transact2+ has the unique ability to be pre-cabled, units can be installed or swapped out for service in less than two minutes. The Transact2+ offers improved customer service by reducing transaction time. The addition of coin dispensers in each lane will improve cashier productivity and enhance the customer experience by addressing the most common customer service complaint- cashier speed. The Transact2+ offers a modern appearance with a molded shell over a rugged cold rolled steel base.
